Clinical Support Associate, Emergency Department – Nights Position Available In Richland, South Carolina

Job Description Additional Job Information Sign on Bonus Eligible 36 Hours per Week Nights 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Benefit Eligible Weekend/Holiday Rotation Required by Department Overview Job Summary Under the supervision of a registered nurse, assists with directpatient care activities and provides department clericalfunctions. Job Responsibilities Implements direct patient care under the supervision of thenurse, promoting patient and family centered care in a healingenvironment. Collects clinical data and information on patients, and reportschanges in patient status to the nurse. Supports the clinical operations by providing clericalsupport. Maintains the medical record for each patient throughout thepatient’s stay. Transcribes physician orders as appropriate. Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Degree:

High School Diploma or GED Experience:

Is enrolled in a professional or practical nursing educationprogram and has or will complete within ninety (90) days afundamentals of nursing course; or Was a professional nursing or practical nursing licensurecandidate who failed to pass the state licensure examinations inthe past three (3) years; or Is certified as a nursing assistant; or Has documentation of current registration as a certifiednursing assistant in another state that meets the requirementslisted in 42 CFR 483.151 and 483.152; or Has documented experience as a nurse assistant, emergencymedical technician, or surgical technician in the past three (3)years; or Has proof of completion of a patient care technician trainingprogram which meets the curriculum requirements of this rule or UAPtraining program in Missouri or another state which meets therequirements of this rule within the last three (3) years; Has completed a professional or licensed practical nursingprogram outside the United States and is awaiting the licensureexamination in this country; or Has proof of certification as a patient care technician.
