Job Responsibilities
Teach Nurse Aide courses to a diverse student body using effective teaching strategies; develop, revise, and maintain course materials; recommend/design new programs; maintain office hours; participate in appropriate professional development opportunities; participate in College and community activities, promote the mission of the College; develop/implement retention strategies; assist in graduate placement; attend graduation ceremony; assist with student advising and registration; serve on College committees; promote institutional goals; assist department chair with administrative responsibilities. Teaching may be on any campus, or by distance learning, and may be days, nights, weekends, or a combination.

TEACHING PERFORMANCE
- The ability to present course materials through appropriate instructional strategies to facilitate the learning process.

INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- The development, revision, and maintenance of courses and curriculum through course objectives, outlines, and appropriate materials.

INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT
- The effective use of required office hours, exhibition of effective classroom management and control, and timely and accurately submitted reports.

STUDENT ADVISEMENT
- The participation of the faculty member, when applicable, in assisting students in personal and professional development.

COLLEGE AND/OR COMMUNITY SERVICES
- The participation in college activities and the promotion of the College through public service.

- The participation of the faculty member in activities designed to develop professional skills so as to maintain and improve proficiency in his/her present position.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Associate degree in Nursing. A current, unencumbered South Carolina State Registered Nursing License. Two years of recent clinical experience in nursing care or nursing education. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
