Direct Support Personnel/CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) – ST Position Available In Knox, Tennessee

Amergis is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide community-based care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role requires a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (no CNA-specific duties are involved). You’ll assist with daily activities like personal care, housekeeping, recreational outings, transportation, and more. DSPs work directly with individuals either in residential settings or community-based programs. Key Responsibilities + Support individuals with daily activities such as personal care, recreational activities, community integration, and transportation. + Assist with housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment. + Document progress and ensure confidentiality of all information. + Maintain professional relationships with individuals, families, and guardians. + Report any health, safety, or behavioral concerns following company policies. Requirements + Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required (no CNA-specific duties involved). + High school diploma or equivalent preferred. + At least six months of experience in human services is preferred. + Must be 18 years or older. + Completion of all state-required training within mandated timeframes. + Work will primarily take place in program locations, with occasional community-based activities.
