In Home Caregiver + Admin Homewatch CareGivers of Birmingham-Hoover Birmingham, AL 35243 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide personalized care and support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong understanding of resident rights. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, administering medication, and ensuring their overall well-being in a comfortable home environment. Caregiver Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Develop and follow care plans tailored to each client’s needs. Assist with mobility and transfers, including lifting clients safely when necessary. Support clients with meal preparation, nutrition, and hydration. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Document care provided and report any changes in client health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Uphold resident rights by ensuring dignity, respect, and privacy during all interactions.
Administrative Responsibility:
Scheduling:
Coordinate and manage caregiver schedules to ensure consistent and reliable client coverage.
Client and Caregiver Records:
Maintain accurate and confidential records, ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations.
Communication:
Serve as a liaison between clients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication.
Office Support:
Handle general office tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, and organizing files. Skills Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Participate in training and professional development sessions as needed. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for clients. Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary needs are met. Administer medications as instructed and assist with basic health monitoring. Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks. Escort clients to appointments, social activities, and errands as needed.
