Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Regional Assistant Director with expertise working with adult clients with developmental disabilities to oversee operations of 4 medical group homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing medical group homes and ensuring resident rights and quality care. The hours are Mon-Fri 12p-8p working 1-2 weekend days per month. Must have at least 3 years of experience as a residential director or assistant director. Must have at least 3 years of experience supervising DDD medical group homes and must be proficient in NJ DDD licensing standards to be considered. Must have an active NJ driver’s license.
Duties:
- Supervise and manage a team of staff members who provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ensure that all residents receive high-quality care and support in accordance with their individual needs and preferences.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for each resident, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes for residents.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff members, promoting a positive work environment and fostering professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to resident rights, safety, and quality of care.
- Collaborate with external healthcare professionals, such as nurses or therapists, to coordinate medical care for residents.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to resident care, staff performance, and operational activities.
Skills:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team of employees.
- Knowledge of working with people with developmental disabilities and an understanding of their unique needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members.
