Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Adult Home Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our licensed adult care facility. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable NYS DOH Part 487 regulations while fostering a resident-centered environment of care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

 Ensure facility compliance with all state and local regulatory requirements, including NYSDOH inspections and licensing. Oversee all departments including nursing, dietary, housekeeping, recreation, and maintenance. Supervise department heads and ensure appropriate staffing levels and staff training. Manage admissions, discharges, and resident care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Respond to resident and family concerns in a professional and timely manner. Ensure effective financial and operational management of the facility, including budgeting and billing. Represent the facility during surveys, audits, and meetings with regulators and stakeholders. Foster a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, and resident dignity.

Qualifications:

Must meet all NYS requirements to serve as Administrator of a licensed adult home. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role within an adult care or long-term care setting. Strong working knowledge of NYS DOH Adult Care Facility (Part 487) regulations. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proven ability to manage budgets, personnel, and compliance functions effectively.
