40.00 Job Summary This positionis responsible for the overall leadership and management of thelocation, including meeting established goals and outcomes,ensuring regulatory and organization compliance, directing andcoordinating work, financial and operational stability, anddemonstrating leadership.

Manages Resident Service:

Communicates,interacts and responds to customers effectively and accurately.

Proactively communicates any necessary changes, issues and concernsto families, staff and other members of the medical community.

Responds quickly and openly to resident’s physical, mental andneeds and assures they are being met by self or others. Ensureseffective marketing and communication for all service levels. Isaccessible and practices active listening.

Manages Risk:

Assignsresponsibility to an individual(s) for the daily management ofinfection prevention and control activities. Providesequipment/supplies and access to information needed to support theinfection prevention and control program. Sets expectations for thecollection and use of data and information to monitor and controlinfections. Responsible to create and maintain a culture of safety.

Ensures a safety program is in place with scheduled inspectionsmaking corrections as necessary. Provides equipment and supplies toensure a safe environment. Assures resident rights are protectedand that all residents, families and significant others are madeaware of those rights. Ensures HIPAA compliance. Responsible forensuring a Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) Programis in place. Assigns responsibility to an individual(s) for thedaily management of QAPI. Ensures the leadership of monthly QAPIcommittee meetings. Sponsors performance improvement projects andreviews, approves or rejects performance improvement team findingsand recommendations. Provides access to information needed tosupport quality assurance performance improvement and providesequipment and supplies to support QAPI efforts. The Administratoris the Compliance Liaison of the facility, with a responsibility tosupport the Chief Compliance Officer in carrying out the ComplianceProgram.

Manages Communication and Documentation:

Expresses ideasclearly, concisely and effectively both orally and in writing.

Requests ongoing feedback on task performance. Communicates upwardand downward within the organization appropriately and in a timelyfashion. Ensures documentation and reports are completed asrequired by regulations and/or policy and procedure. Seeksclarification of assignments and asks questions when needed. Keepssupervisor informed and follows chain of command as appropriatewhen reporting issues or concerns.

Manages Financial andoperational objectives:

Works with department teams, andconsultants to oversee operations of the campus. Qualifications ABachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, preferably in healthcareadministration, including course work in business and humanresources. Location will determine experience required. The abilityto be a licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in the state ofpractice is required. Other licenses as appropriate by staterequirements and facility needs.
