Winslow Gardens Assisted Living Activity Director – Full-Time (Assisted Living)
Location:
East Bay, RI Are you a creative and compassionate professional with a passion for enriching the lives of older adults? We’re seeking a full-time Activity Director to lead and inspire a vibrant activity program at a respected assisted living community in Rhode Island’s East Bay. In this dynamic role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day by developing and overseeing programs that enhance the physical, mental and social well-being of residents. What You’ll Do:
Plan and execute a wide range of engaging, inclusive activities Interview residents and families to create personalized activity plans Maintain accurate documentation of services and progress notes Coordinate with other departments and provide transportation for outings Supervise activity staff and volunteers, and assist residents with crafts, projects, and appointments Promote family involvement and foster a warm, supportive environment
What You Bring:
Experience in long-term care, home & community care, or similar settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Background in event planning or recreational therapy Familiarity with dementia and Alzheimer’s care best practices Understanding of social work principles and person-centered care Creativity, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit
Requirements:
