Resident Care Director Job Summary:

The Resident Care Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the resident care department in a senior living community. This role involves providing leadership, guidance, and support to a team of caregivers to ensure the highest quality of care for residents. The Resident Care Director is also responsible for developing and implementing care plans, conducting assessments, and coordinating with medical professionals to ensure resident needs are met.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Provide leadership and direction to the resident care team 2. Develop and implement care plans for residents 3. Conduct assessments to determine resident needs 4. Coordinate with medical professionals to ensure residents receive appropriate care 5. Oversee medication management and administration 6. Monitor resident progress and make adjustments to care plans as needed 7. Ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies 8. Train and mentor staff on resident care best practices 9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless care experience for residents 10. Handle resident and family concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field 2. RN license required 3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior care setting 4. Strong leadership and communication skills 5. Ability to work well under pressure and make critical decisions 6. Knowledge of state regulations related to senior care 7. Excellent organizational and time management skills 8. Compassionate and patient-focused demeanor 9. Ability to build relationships with residents, families, and staff 10.
