The instructor will adhere to the general faculty guidelines as specified by the Calhoun Community College Personnel Handbook, the Vice President of Academic Affairs, and the Alabama Community College System policy.

Teach at varied times and places and in varied formats based on student demand; day or evening, at all sites, including dual enrollment, traditional classroom, hybrid or web format and distance education.2. Provide clinical supervision on or off campus, at varied times and places and in varied formats based on student demand; day, evening, or weekend, at any approved clinical site.3. Provide competent classroom, laboratory, and simulation instruction.4. Evaluate the progress of students in all classes according to institutional, divisional, departmental, and individual criteria.5. Collect, maintain, and submit accurate class records including grades, attendance rosters, absences, withdrawal, and/or class drop information to appropriate offices.6. Assist in the development of discipline-specific student learning outcome objectives.7. Assess student learning using multiple assessment strategies.8. Analyze and interpret data relative to student learning and provide feedback to the institution and students for the purpose of improving and expanding student learning.9. Prepare or assist in the preparation of materials used in academic administration when requested, including course syllabi, program outlines, and catalog material.10. Prepare or assist in preparation of material and evaluation of data to maintain program accreditation compliance as requested.11. Participate in scheduled in-service activities.12. Participate in nursing program pinning/candlelighting ceremonies.13. Provide academic and career advice to students and promote student leadership and enrichment experiences.14. Be prompt and punctual in reporting for work. Maintain assigned office hours.15. Maintain or increase competency in the chosen specialty by seeking new knowledge, improving teaching skills, and updating professional competencies.16. Promote positive and productive relationships with service area businesses, industries, and agencies.17. Perform al duties with professionalism.18. Provide advice to the administration on matters pertaining to the instructional program.19. Serve on committees engaged in furthering the work of the institution when appointed or when elected.20. Become familiar with institutional policies and procedures as outlined in the College Catalog, Personnel Handbook, and Alabama Community College System Policy Manual; and follow such policies and procedures.21. Perform other duties as assigned.## QualificationsA minimum of a Masters degree in Nursing with at least eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in Nursing from an accredited institution isrequired.

A minimum of three (3) years full-time clinical work experience in a direct patient care role as a registered nurse isrequired.

A current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the State of Alabama or a multi-state license in resident state isrequired.

Demonstrated expertise in adult health and/or critical care through teaching or work experience isrequired.

Documented successful experience teaching and/or developing web-based courses isrequired
