Explains the legal and ethical responsibilities of a certifiednursing assistant, including the importance of Resident’sRights Demonstrates effective communication skills when giving andreceiving a resident’s status report Defines infection prevention and explain the importance ofStandard Precautions, hand hygiene, and the use of personalprotective equipment (PPE) in facilities Demonstrates how to recognize and respond to medicalemergencies using Basic Life Support (BLS)and First Aidprocedures Describes body systems and define key anatomical terms Explains positioning and demonstrate how to safely position,transfer, and ambulate residents Explains personal care and demonstrate how to provideassistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, and skincare Explains the importance of monitoring vital signs anddemonstrate how to measure body temperature, pulse, respirations,and blood pressure Describes the importance of proper nutrition and hydration andlist the six basic nutrients Discusses rehabilitation and restorative care and identify thetypes of residents who are in a subacute settingJob SummaryProvidesquality and technically relevant instruction in the assignedprogram. Responsibilities

Provides quality and technically relevant instruction of coursecurriculum Teaches students learning strategies Conducts teaching and instructional activities usingeducational equipment, manipulatives, props, and other learningaids Provides continual feedback and various methods of assessmentmeasurement by ensuring student mastery of the following learningoutcomes as addressed in the program’s addendum Assesses and records grading for all homework assignments,quizzes, and tests Completes paperwork associated with classroom and projectmanagement Participates in marketing of courses to prospective students byproviding technical information regarding course content duringbiannual Open House events Assists with course and/or program evaluation and continuousimprovement and resolve quiz disputes when necessary Maintains acceptable program quality and satisfactionscores Keeps Program Manager informed of any curriculum or studentcode of conduct issues Records attendance in learning management systemRequiredQualificationsEducational RequirementsRegistered Nurse (RN) orLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within the state of Georgia from anaccredited institution of higher educationOther RequiredQualificationsCurrent, valid and unrestricted Georgia license as anRN or LPNRequired ExperienceFive (5) years of experience in amedical setting as an RN or LPN including the completion of theTrain-the-trainer workshop prior to or upon hirePreferredQualificationsAdditional Preferred QualificationsMust hold expertknowledge in patient care procedures, gerontology, & bedsidemanner.
