We are flexible aslong as you are open for a full-time commitment Position OverviewEvidence-Based Teaching/ Learning and Master Instruction Takesresponsibility for program outcomes by implementing the College’sphilosophy, curriculum and course objectives through classroom,online, clinical teaching, and service to the University,community, health system and profession. Developscurricular/teaching innovations in the annual preparation andrevision of all assigned course(s). Assumes responsibility for allautonomous aspects of individual teaching loads. Monitors clinicalagencies for appropriateness for student clinical experiences andability to meet clinical course outcomes. Plans clinicalexperiences for and provides direct/ indirect supervision andevaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care to anindividual or group of individuals. In cooperation with clinicalagencies and University departments, provides oversight forclinical preceptors/ mentors for student clinical experiences andcoordinates and evaluates those preceptors/ mentors. Providesdocumented feedback to students on level of performance based oncourse outcomes. Provides student remediation within assignedcourses. Communicates up-to-date information about agency/clinicalpolicies, procedures, and expectations Posts developed clinicalassignments consistent with student’s knowledge base, skillcompetency and learning needs. Professional Role Model/ ChamberlainUniversity Care Serves as a positive professional role model forstudents, assisting in their professional/social development.

Serves as an informal leader, mentor, and role model for otherfaculty and staff in the areas of customer service, collaboration,communication, excellence and general professionalism. Mentors newfaculty members. Commitment to Professional Nursing Participates inprofessional activities outside the University Professional ServiceContributes to the development, implementation and evaluation ofthe programs and the philosophy of the University. Participates inacademic advisement and counseling for an assigned group ofstudents while participating in assessment of potential and realcounseling concerns for all students with whom the faculty comeinto contact. Contributes to the development and evaluation ofstudent admission, progression, retention and graduation policieswithin the University. Provides opportunities for student andgraduate evaluation of curriculum and teaching and programeffectiveness. Provides recommendations to the program leaderregarding budgetary needs for the University. A faculty member atthe rank of Instructor demonstrates significant leadership withinthe University by accepting or initiating, as part of the workload,responsibility for activities such as: Chairing or serving onUniversity committees Chairing and/ or serving on work groups thatcontribute to preparation for accreditation visits Gathering andanalyzing data related to course, curriculum and program review tofoster continuous quality improvement Serving as coursecoordinator, course lead or Subject Matter Expert (SME) Documentingactions taken in faculty and committee meetings as appropriateNursing Practice Expertise Demonstrates scholarship through theScholarship of Teaching, Discovery, Application, or Integrationcongruent with expectations of assigned rank. Demonstrates apractice of scholarly teaching characterized by keeping coursematerials and content current, applying principles of evidencebased teaching, participating in and welcoming peer review ofteaching, and reflection on one’s own teaching.

Maintain current regulatory andpractice credentials, when appropriate, based on assignmentExcellent communication skills along with a high level ofinitiative and prudent judgment For those working within theclinical setting, additional compliance requirements are needed andthose requirements are located in the faculty compliance packet.

Teaching Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experienceworking in a clinical setting
  • Experientially prepared to teachassigned courses
  • Education and experience must align withregulations in the state.

Complies with the rules and regulationsof state authorization agencies, which may include the highereducation board and/or licensing board in multiple states.

Additional Information In support of the pay transparency lawsenacted across the country, the expected salary range for thisposition is between $53,520.9 and $93,918.96. Actual pay will beadjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such asexperience and training; geographic location; licensure andcertifications; market factors; departmental budgets; andresponsibility.
