Job Description
Carlow University’s School of Nursing, Graduate Nursing Department seeks an experienced educator to assume the faculty role in the Family Across the Lifespan Nurse Practitioner Program . This is a full-time, tenure-track position (11 months) located on the Oakland campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Position to begin on August 15, 2025. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with educational preparation and experience. The faculty member will provide teaching in the Family Across the Lifespan Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program as well as shared MSN courses. Additional duties of service and scholarship are expected.
Required Experience:
- All candidates must have a doctorate (DNP, PhD, EdD, or another related degree), a master’s degree in nursing, and be eligible for Pennsylvania State Professional Nurse licensure as a certified registered nurse practitioner, hold prescriptive authority, and national certification as a Family Across the Lifespan Nurse Practitioner.
- Three years of teaching experience in an FNP program or related experience.
- Minimum five years of clinical experience in the FNP role.
- Evidence of current practice.
- Evidence of or potential for an active program of scholarship/research
