Position Description
Position Summary The Department of Nursing in the School of Science, Engineering and Health at Messiah University invites applications for a full-time/term-tenure track or clinical track Nursing faculty position. The primary focus will be on maternity and health assessment but may also include other areas as indicated.
Responsibilities Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include theory and clinical teaching in at least two of the following core clinical courses: Nursing Care of the Childbearing Family, Nursing Care of Infants, Children, and Adolescents, or Health Assessment, Foundations of Nursing Practice, Pharmacology, or Pathophysiology. Doctorally prepared candidates (PhD or DNP) may have the opportunity to teach graduate-level courses. Faculty will have advising and institutional service responsibilities, in addition to continuing their own scholarship and practice.
Qualifications Qualifications:
Minimum of Master of Science degree in nursing with appropriate clinical practice certifications; doctorate in nursing preferred (PhD or DNP), or current enrollment in doctoral study. Graduate preparation in nursing education and certification in nursing education (CNE) is highly preferred. Previous college teaching experience preferred. Must have recent, relevant clinical experience. Candidate should have a commitment to excellence in teaching in a Christian liberal arts setting and to ongoing scholarship, service, and practice in nursing. Must have a current, valid professional nursing license in the state of Pennsylvania.

Compensation Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
