Job Description The instructional nursing faculty member shall have the primary responsibility of the teaching function and shall be held accountable for the teaching obligations as it contributes to the attainment of the mission of the University, the School, and the Department.
Required Qualifications
- a minimum of a masters degree in nursing required for all CSON faculty positions – doctorate in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications - a doctorate is required for teaching in the CSON graduate programs;
- current unrestricted licensure and licensure in other states if required for teaching/clinical supervision; and
- evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity.

Job Duty
Job Duty - promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large:
Job Duty - promote effective working relations with faculty, staff and students; undertake the Standard Instructional/Research/Service Workload as outlined in the Faculty-Staff Policy Manual;
Job Duty - provide course conduct as outlined in the Faculty-Staff Policy Manual;
Job Duty - provide clinical instruction in campus lab, clinical facilities, and simulation lab (will provide clinical instruction for make-up days);
Job Duty - provide academic advisement of students;
Job Duty - conduct office/conference hours if not in clinical 4 days that week;
Job Duty - proctor nursing exams if not in clinical 4 days that week;
Job Duty - assist the Dean, Chairs, Program Directors, and faculty with development of course schedules;
Job Duty - engage in professional development;
Job Duty - provide committee service;
Job Duty - attend faculty meetings;
Job Duty - attend commencement activities;
Job Duty - participate in annual faculty evaluation
Job Duty - completion of required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University; and
Job Duty - perform other duties as assigned.
