Responsibilities:
As a Unit Manager/Director – RN wherewithin an assigned unit you will support the Director of Nursingwith the delivery of high quality care while achieving positiveclinical outcomes, and patient/resident, family and employeesatisfaction. Lead, guide and direct the overall operations,coordination and direction of nursing and patient/resident care foran assigned nursing unit. Ensure that patient/resident caredelivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values andpolicies of Genesis HealthCare and in accordance with acceptedstandards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensingrequirements. Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitationtherapy and other professionals to ensure the best possibleoutcomes for patients on assigned nursing unit. Manage the humanresources in assigned unit to include limiting use of overtime andagency personnel, recruiting and orientating staff, assessing thework performance of nursing staff, and implementing disciplinaryaction when necessary.
Qualifications:
Must be graduate of anaccredited school of nursing, college or university. CurrentRegistered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing isrequired.
