A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A UNIT MANAGER
As a Unit manager at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, you play a critical role in the care of our residents. You are responsible for the overall management of a nursing unit within the facility. This role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, coordinating with other healthcare professionals, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A UNIT MANAGER
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Licensure:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility.
Skills:
Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
