Responsibilities:
Unit Manager for Rehab Unit As a UnitManager/Director – RN where within an assigned unit you willsupport the Director of Nursing with the delivery of high qualitycare while achieving positive clinical outcomes, andpatient/resident, family and employee satisfaction. Lead, guide anddirect the overall operations, coordination and direction ofnursing and patient/resident care for an assigned nursing unit.
Ensure that patient/resident care delivery is consistent with themission, vision, values and policies of Genesis HealthCare and inaccordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federalregulations and licensing requirements. Collaborate with staff,physicians, rehabilitation therapy and other professionals toensure the best possible outcomes for patients on assigned nursingunit. Manage the human resources in assigned unit to includelimiting use of overtime and agency personnel, recruiting andorientating staff, assessing the work performance of nursing staff,and implementing disciplinary action when necessary.
Qualifications:
Must be graduate of an accredited school ofnursing, college or university. Current Registered Nurse licensureby the State Board of Nursing is required.
