Serve as a mentor and team lead for the staff.
Qualifications
Valid AL RN license required.
Associates Degree in Nursing and four (4) years of Staff Nurse experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and two (2) years of Staff Nurse experience in the department is preferred.
Knowledge of Trauma ED standards of care practices and procedures, for the ED Shift supervisor.
Organizational skills. Analytical and problem solving skills. Interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to show initiative and leadership in patient care.
Ability to effectively communicate to patients, guest, and coworkers.
Ability to coordinate the activities of those persons supervised
.Basic Cardiac Life Support (Basic Life Support (BLS)) certification.
Registered Nurse (RN) License with the Alabama Board of Nursing.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)) required within six months in position.
