Overview Nurse Manager, Behavioral Health Cleveland, MS SignetHealth, a national behavioral health management company, iscurrently recruiting for a full-time seasoned Nurse Manager tomanage the psychiatric inpatient services for a 12-bed adult gerounit at Bolivar Hospital in Cleveland, MS. The Nurse Managerreports to the Behavioral Health Director and is a vital part ofthe department’s leadership team. Candidate has accountability formanaging resources, (human, material and financial) and to ensurequality, cost-effective delivery of services for the inpatientbehavioral health population. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Directs development andimplementation of quality and utilization standards across thecontinuum of care to ensure coordinated plans of treatment, patientfocused delivery of services and cost-effective utilization ofnecessary services. Builds trust with the nursing staff throughvisibility. u202f Provides for the seamless transition of patientsacross the continuum of care. Establishes partnerships with BolivarHospital’s leadership groups. In collaboration with medical staffand facility leadership, ensures superior care experience and asafe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Ensurespolicies, practices and procedures comply with administrative,legal, and regulatory requirements of governmental and accreditingagencies. Communicates and interprets policies and procedures tonursing staff and monitors staff practices and implementation.

Maintains a state of continuous regulatory readiness. Evaluates thework performance of all nursing personnel. Ensures delivery ofcompassionate quality care and nursing supervision as evidenced byadequate services and staff coverage on unit, and generalcleanliness. Reviews units daily to monitor and ensure timely,effective responses to significant changes in condition, transfers,discharges, unexplained injuries, falls, behavioral episodes,medication errors, and environmental issues. Performs rounds toobserve care and to interview staff, patients, families, or otherinterested parties. Collaborates with physicians, consultants,community agencies and institutions to improve the quality ofservices and to resolve identified problems. Utilizes research datato implement clinical changes & the delivery of patient care.

Oversees nursing schedules to assure they meet patient needs andregulatory and budgetary standards. Participates in the recruitmentand selection of nursing personnel

Requirements/QualificationsQualifications:

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 3years of professional nursing management/supervisory experience inan inpatient, hospital-based psychiatric setting. Must be flexibleto adjust to the needs of a fast-paced environment, demonstrateeffective problem-solving skills, and display proficientoral/written communication skills.u202fu202f Active MississippiRN license or be eligible for endorsement.
