MDS Director What You’llDo:

As an MDS Director, you will manage the Minimum Data Set (MDS)assessments necessary for developing personalized resident careplans and the capture of clinical reimbursement for servicesprovided. You will ensure the highest level of revenue integrityand compliance to all state and federal regulations for MDScompletion and coding conventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead andoversee the MDS program, ensuring compliance and accuracy inassessments Determine Patient Driven Payment Method (PDPM) andexpense associated with a potential admissions Monitor Case MixIndex (CMI) scores, looking for potential risks and/or changes thatmay affect reimbursement May train, mentor and/or manage MDSCoordinators, providing guidance and support Coordinate andparticipate in comprehensive resident assessments and care planningCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure accurate datacollection for assessments Provide insights and ongoing educationto facility staff and leaders Track, trend and analyze assessmentdata to confirm compliance and identify strategic opportunities tooptimize reimbursement Drive a culture of continuous improvementand innovation in nursing care If you are passionate about ensuringexceptional resident care through accurate, detailed assessmentsand documentation, consider this exceptional opportunity. What You’ll Bring:

Qualifications of theMDS Director include: Valid state RN license preferred Advanceddegree or certification preferred Direct care in a long-term caresetting and/or MDS Coordinator experience required Proficient instate and federal regulations governing the MDS and billing processKnowledge and understanding of Electronic Medical Record (EMR),PDP, MDS 3.0, Medicaid and Medicare requirements Interest in thenursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the abilityto work with both Deadline driven, exceptionally detail-orientedindividual with strong organizational skills, analyticalcapabilities and the ability to make decisions independentlyExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonalabilities Ability to work effectively and influence others in amultidisciplinary team environment -: We Hire for Heart!
