JOB SUMMARY

Under the leadership of the NursingDirector/Administrative leadership, the Nurse Manager Amb is aRegistered Nurse responsible and accountable for the planning,organizing, directing and evaluation of clinical, administrativeand operational and regulatory/compliance activities for theirassigned area. The scope of management responsibilities includesclinical and safety practices of nurses and other members of theclinical team, professional nursing practice, leadership andprofessional growth, human resource management, financialperformance, system coordination and clinical performance (safety,patient experience and quality) improvement. Qualifications MinimumRequirements Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing Existingincumbents as of March 1, 2024 must obtain BSN within 3 years ofthis date Experience Minimum of 3 Years of relevant experience inclinical practice. Minimum 2 years of progressive leadershiprequired. Experienced in Pre-admission Testing required. Licensure,Certification, Registration Registered Nurse State of CT. CertifiedBLS provider credentialed form the American Heart Association (AHA)Certification in a specialty area required within 3 years of startdate in position or March 1, 2024 if already in position PreferredRequirements Education Master of Science Nursing Licensure,Certification, Registration Specialty Certification Knowledge,Skills and Ability Requirements Broad and thorough knowledge of thediscipline of Nursing. Working knowledge of high reliability (HRO)and LEAN process improvement strategies. Demonstrated ability tocoach and mentor for career advancement and professionaldevelopment. Exceptional ability to lead courageous conversations,hold colleague accountable and manage change and conflict.

Specialized knowledge in area of specialty principles, practicesand trends. Strong ability to plan, organize and direct the work ofothers. Strong ability to foster successful team efforts workingwith a variety of management, medical/clinical staff. Strongability to influence, lead, and delegate. Basic financial budgetknowledge. Strong understanding of safety, security and jointcommission standards as it pertains to role. Strong ability torespond effectively in emergency situations. Fosters an inclusiveworkplace where diversity and individual differences are valued andmaximized to achieve the mission and vision of the organization.

Strong organizational and planning abilities. Result oriented,ability to achieve targets within provided timeframe. Excellentwritten and oral communications skills.
