This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified applicant. Our facility serves the Danbury area and is located within proximity to all major highways. As the Director of Nursing, you will create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies. There, all personnel will be able to do their best in caring for patients. Your leadership and experise will ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our residents while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The Director of Nursing should have once been a hard-working and compassionate registered nurse who steadily developed their managerial and administrative skills. Being efficient, dedicated, a good listener and a problem-solver is what will open our door for you. The Director of Nursing oversees and evaluates all nursing personnel (registered nurses, LPN etc.) The Director of Nursing guides staffing procedures The Director of Nursing sets objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department The Director of Nursing organizes and coordinates admissions, nursing and patient care procedures The Director of Nursing develops and enforces policies aiming for legal compliance and high-quality standards The Director of Nursing controls budgets and monitors expenditures The Director of Nursing resolves issues and deficiencies when needed The Director of Nursing Manages record-keeping procedures The Director of Nursing collaborates with other departments and professionals to streamline operations Skills Proven experience as Director of Nursing The Director of Nursing must have in-depth knowledge of hospital procedures and KPI/KQIs of patient care The Director of Nursing must have an understanding of basic budgeting and financial reporting The Director of Nursing should have great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare The Director of Nursing has the willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration The Director of Nursing must have excellent ability to lead and develop personnel have great communication and people skills The Director of Nursing must have outstanding organizational and stress management skills and aptitude in problem-solving The Director of Nursing must have a degree in nursing; Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration is a plus The Director of Nursing must have a valid nursing and CPR certification and a current CT RN- Registered Nurse License in good standing We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome all qualified applicants, regardless of age, ancestry, color, disability, gender, gender identity, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation or veteran status
