Assistant Nurse Manager Full-Time | Leadership | Patient-Centered Care Position Summary The Assistant Nurse Manager plays a key leadership role in supporting the planning, coordination, and evaluation of 24-hour nursing operations for one or more clinical units. This role collaborates closely with physicians during rounds, communicates patient care updates, transcribes and reviews physician orders, and ensures accuracy in clinical documentation. In partnership with nursing leadership, this position supports staff development, patient care excellence, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing the daily operations and clinical workflow of the assigned nursing unit(s) Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and act as a liaison between nursing staff and physicians Respond to inquiries about patient conditions and coordinate care as needed Review and accurately transcribe physicians’ orders; ensure timely charting and documentation Support quality improvement initiatives and adherence to clinical protocols and standards Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, promoting a culture of safety and accountability Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards Education Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing (required) Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred Experience Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience required Leadership or charge nurse experience preferred Licensure & Certifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
