GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Handles all inquiries for information and/or admission to the Facility. 2. Active participation in admission process.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
1. Handles inquiries for information and/or admission to the
Facility:
A. Provides tours of the Facility to prospective residents and families. B. Explains admissions, visiting and financial policies to prospective residents and families. C. Maintains contacts with referral institutions and facilities. 2.
Active participation in admission process:
A. Frequent contact with hospital social workers and discharge planners to learn of potential admissions. B. Coordinates patient transfer arrangements between referring agency and facility. C. Obtains all necessary medical, financial and social information prior to admission. Provides relevant forms to nursing stations for insertion in Medical Record. 3. Participates in in-service education programs as necessary. 4. The Manager on Duty will do facility rounds, checking each department and getting reports from the nursing supervisors. Duties will include, but are not limited to, facility tours for prospective admissions, assisting with resolution of resident concerns and overall facility operations 5. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor Degree preferred
Work Experience:
2-3 years’ Admission/Liaison experience. LTC experience a plus Nursing License, a plus but not required Freedom from illegal use of drugs, and freedom from use and effects of the use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position.
WORK SCHEDULE
Days; Monday -Friday. May be required to work Evening shift, Night Shift, Holidays, Weekends as needed. Required to Participate in Manager on Duty Program.
