RN/LPN Supervisor Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall care for the residents on their assigned unit. Walking rounds with offgoing nurse to receive updates on each resident Receive, transcribe, and initiate orders from physicians Administer medications and complete any treatment orders as ordered by physicians Ensure all medications are ordered through the Pharmacy in a timely manner Collaborate with the MDS/Care Plan Team to develop and maintain up to date plan of care for residents Complete required documentation in the resident’s chart Responsible to contact Physician and family for any change of condition with resident Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants on the unit Ensure tasks are complete prior to the end of shift Walking rounds with oncoming nurse to give update on resident status Skills Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures Excellent knowledge of emergency care Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Responsible and compassionate Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
RN/LPN Summary:
Must have an active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license Must pass a Level II Background Check Must be able to pass a drug screen and be medically cleared
