Job Description Summary:

The Enteral Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Enteral COE Support staff (PRC, NCC, NCS). Supports enteral nutrition patients by coordinating the provision of formula and supplies in an accurate and timely basis. Maintains a cohesive relationship with all related enteral staff to maximize the effectiveness of the nutrition program.

Job Responsibilities Develops, monitors, coaches and manages staff, ensuring the development for employees through orientation, training, establishing objectives, communication of policies and processes, constructive discipline. Builds employee morale, motivation and loyalty and fosters a team-like environment. Provides patients with supplies within guidelines established and promotes formulary conversion where indicated. Approves non-formulary escalations, coordinating with Manager and CMC Directors of Operations per escalation process. Observes legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient information. Ensures that team is adhering to enteral order renewal process, running reports and completing audits as needed. Assists Manager with monitoring adherence to policies and procedures and performs audits as designated manager. Assists with monitoring and evaluating direct reports’ KPIs including productivity, performance, and compliance to ECOE processes, including enteral formulary compliance of both formula and supplies and maintenance of accurate enteral orders. Assists with training new Nutrition Care Coordinators and Nutrition Care Specialists as assigned, conducts ongoing training and skills assessment as necessary. Assists staff with any day to day issues and escalating issues when necessary to the Manager Identifies and escalates clinical enteral issues beyond capability of position to the Dietitian Collaborates with CMC staff to problem solve, fulfill service recovery and improve coordination of care Able to perform all duties of the Nutrition Care Coordinator and Nutrition Care Specialist as assigned or when needed to support the business. Accepts other responsibilities and duties that may be assigned. Required to support on-call enteral teammate rotation in escalation and/or when enteral teammate not available. Basic Education and Experience High School Diploma and 1 year of related supervisory experience or at least 3 years of relevant enteral experience with demonstrated progression. Basic Qualifications & Interests (BQIs) Previous experience as an Nutrition Care Coordinator or Specialist. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail oriented Flexible and able to work effectively in multidisciplinary team Experience ordering products and coordinating deliveries, medical records, reimbursement and/or nutrition Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns Preferred Qualification (PQI) Associates or Bachelors degree Knowledge of basic medical terminology Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below: Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Pay Range is $50,969.32-$84,948.86
