The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Monitors the health status of residents on a daily basis within the policy and procedures of East Ridge Retirement Village and in conjunction with state and federal regulations Maintains and ensures compliance with the East Ridge Retirement Village policies and procedures and AHCA regulatory standards Oversees day-to-day operations of Assisted Living and Memory Support as well as supervise assisted living nurses and direct care associates Provides oversight and coordination of direct care associate assignments, quality of work performance, and communication with the care team for the shift Coordinates resident admission paperwork and return from leave of absences paperwork, including following through on the completion of evaluations, 1823s, MOR set up and plan of care development Assists residents with activities of daily living and instruct/oversee associates in safe and competent resident care as needed Administers or assists with self-administration of medications according to the Medication Practices policy Provides support to Assisted Living and Memory Support associates with the reordering of resident medications, medication deliveries and reconciling medication observations as needed Implements physician orders for nursing care per Standard Licensure Documentations and manages the resident’s record according to the policy and procedure of the department and requirements of assisted living licensure Communicates with health care providers (physicians, therapists, case managers), families and responsible parties of residents to ensure proper follow through Communicates observations or reported concerns regarding resident’s continuum of care needs to the Assisted Living Nurse Manager or Director of Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Community Life Participates in resident care review meetings and provide support, comfort, and reassurance to residents as well as their family/significant other regarding the care giving needs of the resident. Encourage family involvement whenever possible Perform other duties as required Qualifications Current and valid license in the State of Florida as an LPN or RN. One to three years’ experience in a geriatric setting, i.e., skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, or geriatric acute care setting. CPR certification. Strong skills in patient assessment and clinical decision-making. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and support. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of patient care.
