Job Summary The Clinical Operations Manager will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our clinical services, supporting and imparting training for all medical assistants. The Clinical Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, patient safety and the effective coordination of clinical staff and resources. This position plays a critical role in driving clinical excellence and maintaining high-quality standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead and support all medical assistants. Create training materials and impart training for all medical assistants including and not limited to: Pre-visit planning Medication reconciliation Health Risk Assessment Quality Infection control Patient safety including safety for all medical center staff Proper triage including recognition of abnormal vital signs and documentation Establish and execute a monitoring process to ensure medical assistants have the appropriate skills to conduct clinical processes within the function of company policies. Establish and execute a monitoring process to ensure that all vaccines and perishable medications are handled and stored in accordance with CDC guidelines and Vaccines for Children. This includes the handling of vaccines and perishable medications for transportation during emergencies and power outages. Develop, implement, and monitor nursing clinical protocols including policies and procedures, to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. Work in collaboration with Operations leaders to establish and execute compliance with clinical policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPPA, local, state and federal health care regulations. Monitor and execute compliance with medical assistant BLS certification and renewal. Maintains required records and reports for administrative, quality assurance, safety and control purposes. Establish and maintain an onboarding training program in collaboration with our Human Resources Department for newly hired medical assistants and phlebotomists. Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and other medical center departments to enhance patient care and clinical outcomes. Lead efforts to improve patient satisfaction, quality of care, and clinical outcomes through data-driven initiatives. Manage staffing levels, including recruitment, scheduling, and performance evaluations, to ensure proper coverage and support in clinical areas. Work in collaboration with the CMO to oversee clinical budgeting, resource allocation, and inventory management to ensure the efficient use of resources. Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives from a nursing perspective to streamline operations and enhance patient care delivery. Coordinate training and development programs for medical assistants to promote professional growth and succession planning. Be proficient in conflict resolution and coaching for success. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise all medical assistants at Cano Best Practices Leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with healthcare teams, patients, and external partners. Knowledge of clinical operations, resource management, and performance improvement methodologies. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Analytical skills to assess operational data and make informed decisions.
Education & Experience Education:
Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active and unencumbered license in Florida.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role. Education Requirements Required/Preferred Education Level Discipline Required Technical Degree LPN RN Fluent Spanish and English required Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, clinical best practices, and patient care management. Proven ability to manage clinical teams, improve processes, and lead initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in the use of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and other clinical management tools.
Certification:
Additional certifications in healthcare administration or clinical management are a plus (e.g., CPHQ, CNML). Physical Requirements Must be capable of regular and consistent attendance. Ability to reach, lift, carry and move lightweight objects. Ability to walk, stand, bend, and sit intermittently.
