Role:

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to lead our overnight nursing team from 11 PM to 7 AM , including rotating weekend coverage . This full-time role is ideal for a confident and experienced nurse who thrives in a leadership position and is committed to maintaining high standards of care in a skilled nursing facility environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Supervision Provide direct supervision and support to LPNs, CNAs, and support staff during the night shift. Ensure consistent implementation of care plans, policies, and procedures. Serve as the on-site clinical leader and point of escalation during overnight hours. Clinical Oversight Monitor and assess resident health, responding swiftly to changes in condition. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in medical records and incident logs. Emergency Response Lead response to on-site emergencies, including falls, acute medical issues, and behavioral situations. Coordinate with emergency services and manage hospital transfers when necessary. Regulatory Compliance Uphold compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and state health department regulations. Participate in overnight incident reporting and quality assurance efforts. Resident & Family Communication Communicate urgent resident updates to families as needed. Promote respectful, compassionate care throughout the night. Administrative Tasks Complete shift reports, oversee narcotic counts, and manage smooth shift transitions. Assist with coverage for call-outs and maintain appropriate staffing levels.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Active RN license in the state of employment. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a nursing supervisory or charge nurse role. CPR/BLS certification required. Strong understanding of long-term care regulations and clinical best practices. Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care preferred.
