Director of Quality – RN Position Available In Orange, Florida

Job Description:

Director of Quality – RNOrlando, FLOur client is located in thesouthern Orlando FL, it will be the first teaching hospital inCentral Florida. 60+ bed facility is expected to create more than300 jobs when it opens late next year. It will be just minutes fromthe Orlando International Airport and will be easily accessiblefrom major roads including Florida’s Turnpike, State Road 417 andthe East-West Expressway.

Position Summary:

Responsible to providecomprehensive assessment, planning, monitoring, and evaluation forcompliance with accreditation and regulatory agencies including anystate licensing standards.

The Director shall investigateregulations, standards, and laws and make initial recommendationsto ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting entities.

The Director will translate standards, requirements, and policiesinto terms or processes meaningful to the staff and provideconsultation and education to relevant task forces, quality actionteams, and committees to ensure ongoing compliance withstandards.

The Director will ensure an ongoing mechanism forproactive monitoring and auditing is developed, continuallyupdated, and executed on a regular schedule and the results of anymonitoring or auditing are made available to the appropriateleadership.

Experience Required:

Three – five years Quality Leadership experience. Hospital based experience required. Previous experience in accreditation, quality, utilizationmanagement or risk required Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations. Previous experience in a nursing and/or administration rolepreferred

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Licensure/Certification:
