Job Description:

Bedrock Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Winter Park is seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager to join our team. This full-time role will be responsible for managing staffing needs and providing supervision for nursing staff delivering direct resident care, ensuring the highest quality care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the staffing needs of the unit, ensuring appropriate coverage and quality care. Supervise Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants in providing direct care to residents. Assist with staff development to foster growth and improve performance. Provide direct resident care in accordance with established care plans. Conduct and document comprehensive data collection on each resident’s medical status during admission and throughout their treatment. Assist in creating and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents. Participate in the recruitment and hiring of nursing staff. Ensure compliance with resident record documentation requirements and standards. Coordinate staffing schedules to guarantee consistent and adequate coverage. Maintain compliance with resident rights policies and collaborate with families and staff to resolve concerns or grievances. Complete Preceptor Training as required. Develop and implement innovative healthcare ideas and concepts that enhance systems and processes, ultimately improving results. Lead the development of a successful management team within the facility.

Requirements:

Must possess a current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as an RN or LPN. Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience (preferably in a similar setting serving the same age/type of resident population). At least 1 year of experience in nursing administration. Strong leadership abilities with a compassionate and dedicated approach to resident care. Commitment to excellence in healthcare and a passion for making a difference in residents’ lives.
