RN Unit Manager 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars 2180 Hypoluxo Road, Lake Worth, FL 33462 Hamlin Place skilled nursing facility is seeking a caring and patient focused full-time RN Supervisor. The ideal candidate would be passionate and detail oriented with a positive, can do attitude. The RN Supervisor would be responsible for supervising the day to day nursing activities of the facility during tour of duty in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidlines, and regulations that govern the facility and as may be required by the Director of Nursing, to ensure that the highest degree of quality of care is maintained at all times.
Responsibilities:
Assist the DON and ADON in working with management staff, Administrator, and Consultants in planning all aspects of the nursing operation, including setting priorities and job assignments. Monitor each units activities as assigned, communicate policies, evaluate performes, provide feedback; and assist, coach, and discipline as needed Conduct regular rounds to monitor delivery of nursing care, the effective coordination with other support services, the cleanliness and appearance of the residents, and the morale of staff and to ensure residents needs are being met in a proactive manner Carry out, coordinate and manage administrative functions in areas or programs related to Nursing Services which may include departmental documentations or medical records; nursing supplies; center QAPI, care plans, MDS, infection control program, skin care programs, training and orientation and any other related functions. Maintain a working knowledge of and ensure compliance with all governmental regulations Monitor associate relations practices of nursing staff assigned to ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies and to ensure practices maintain high morale and staff retention to include effective communication, prompt problem resolution, positive supervisory practices and maintaining a positive work environment. Assist with managing turnover through appropriate selection, orientation, training and staff education Develop positive relationships on behalf of the company with government regulators, families, the area health care community, and community at large Monitor, oversee and administer medications as allowed per state specific guidelines Prioritize tasks to ensure that customers changing needs are met in a timely manner Perform assessments and reassessments to determine resident needs and recommending appropriate service plans Daily round on assigned halls and to review and update 24 hours report in order to assist and assess residents in acute episodes New admit/readmit skin checks are to be done with accuracy and great detail Round with MD’s to ensure that orders are followed through Functions as a role model for staff by being punctual, neat and clean in appearance and follows dress code Work closely with DON and ADON and communicate any concerns or issues immediately May perform other duties as assigned and needed
Qualifications:
Must have active Florida Registered Nurse License CPR certified Must complete all state required training to maintain licensure and certification Management training or experience preferred Ability to clearly speak, read and write in English Must be able to perform simple calculations (add, substract, multiple, divide) Ability to work flexible hours Must possess a valid drivers license We are an
