The Assistant Nurse Manager will play a critical role in managing clinical operations, developing nursing policies, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes excellence in patient care. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement in healthcare delivery. Responsibilities Supervise and manage nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care. Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures in alignment with best practices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve health outcomes. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on clinical assessments. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Conduct performance evaluations for nursing staff, providing feedback and fostering professional development. Manage staffing levels to meet the needs of the unit while adhering to budgetary constraints. Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and satisfaction. Skills The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following skills: Proficient in IV insertion techniques. Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center. Knowledge of geriatrics and family planning practices. Familiarity with hospital medicine protocols. Understanding of medical coding practices. Strong anatomy knowledge relevant to patient care. Skills in health coaching to promote wellness among patients. Experience working in laboratory settings. Proficiency with Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems.
