Summary:
Provide leadership support over the Polk region Employee Health program which includes managing daily operations, maintaining clinical standards, policies and processes and recruitment, retention and training of staff. Ensures workflow operations are efficient and schedules align with organizational needs. Assumes 24-hour responsibility and provides coverage and support for the manager in his/her absence. Works with and supports manager in regards to system-wide Employee Health program and implements/updates processes and updates as needed. Acts as a liaison between volunteers, team members, physicians, other customers and manager. Provides evaluation, direct care, assessment, and referrals to team members utilizing observation and assessment skills, while practicing in accordance with legal parameters, guidelines, and standards for occupational and industrial nursing. Possess a working knowledge of OSHA, ADAAA, and NIOSH resources, worker’s compensation injury and illness initial assessment, phlebotomy skills, drug screening, and placement evaluations. Additional responsibilities include assisting with Americans with Disability Act Amendment Act as needed, providing coverage at all BayCare Employee Health locations, and other duties that are assigned. Travel to all BayCare locations required.
