The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, particularly within nursing home settings, and will be responsible for ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care. This role requires effective leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage staff and coordinate with healthcare professionals to meet the needs of our residents. Duties Supervise and support nursing staff during night shifts to ensure quality patient care. Monitor residents’ vital signs and document any changes in their condition. Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities. Ensure compliance with medical documentation standards and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans. Address any emergencies or incidents that arise during the night shift promptly and effectively. Train and mentor staff on best practices for dementia care and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Maintain a safe and clean environment for both residents and staff. Experience Previous experience in a nursing home or similar healthcare setting is required. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and documentation practices is essential. Experience working with patients who have developmental disabilities or dementia is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff members. Ability to work independently while also being an effective team leader.
