This position is full time, 10am-8pm. We’re seeking an experienced Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Assistant Nurse Manager responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of nursing personnel.
This Registered Nurse will:
PACU, Emergency Room (ED), Critical Care (ICU) Participates in the hiring process and is responsible for development, evaluation and ongoing management of assigned direct reports. Provides professional nursing care in adherence with EHC guidelines and protocols for patients during bedside assignments. Verifies that patients’ needs are met and evaluates unit nursing care and performance. Plans and organizes training for unit staff members and participates in guidance and educational programs. Completes rounding log and uses findings to develop solutions to identified issues within scope of accountability. Ensures the consistent practice of bedside report and completes monthly audits. Supports the delivery of quality patient care by holding staff accountable to established patient care and regulatory standards. Interprets policies and procedure to nursing staff and patients/families. Demonstrates clinical knowledge needed to coach staff on day-to-day activities. Supports evidence-based changes to clinical practice in pursuit of quality patient outcomes. Ensures service 10 is practiced on their unit and shared throughout the healthcare system.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Master of Science in Nursing preferred. Three years of nursing experience acute and/or ambulatory care nursing practice setting with 1 year of lead, supervisory, management, and/or leadership experience in nursing and/or health system position/role Current RN license approved by the Georgia Licensing Board required. BLS certification required. ACLS may be required in some areas. Additional certifications may be required based on department and specialty Join our team today! Our PACU Nurses care for a variety of patients: General, GYN, Urology, Bariatrics, Robotics, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Podiatry, ENT, Skull Base, OMFS, and Plastics.
Number of Rooms:
20 rooms make up both 1st/2nd levels; 5 Endoscopy rooms Nursing scope of practice: Our PACU staff are critically care trained to recovers all surgical patients (ORs), Endoscopy patients, Interventional Radiology patients who received General Anesthesia, and Cath Lab/EP Lab/COA (cardia OBS Area) patients after 4pm. Some patients we care for in PACU are ventilated and/or on drips.

Approximately 50
Staffing Hours:
7:30am-10:30pm Monday through Friday; We have weekends, Holidays and weeknights (Mon-Fri) On call requirements
Other Info:
Our nurses all are cross-trained to work both Pre op and PACU. There is a 6-12 week orientation, depending on experience.
