$2304 Key Responsibilities A competent medical/surgical nurse needs to be flexible about working conditions and care about the extremely diverse needs of different patients. Their primary responsibility is to look after the needs of people with serious medical conditions, as well as those who are recovering from medical procedures. Skills every medical/surgical nurse should have include: Unit info: 5A Surgical ACE. 32 bed unit with adult/older adult population. Ratio 1:5. Trauma patients, Heparin drips and all acute medications as ordered.

PT Equipment Responsibilities:

Must have

MED TELE CHARGE

Experience Keeping organized and following patient care plans exactly Administering medications and using medical equipment Communicating clearly and honestly with people from all backgrounds Keeping good records and maintaining patients’ charts Using basic math skills adequate for dosage calculations Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare teaM Answer questions and educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocol.

Qualifications Education:

Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution

Licensure:

Current and valid RN license in the state of GA.

Certifications:

BLS/ACLS
