OverviewLakeview Behavioral is seeking an experience RN NurseManager!

Schedule:

Monday-Friday Must be avaialble to work weekends and eveningsAssists theDON/CNO with directing, planning, coordinating, monitoring andsupervising the effective and efficient use of the operations ofnursing for assigned units. Oversees the delivery of behavioralhealth/nursing services in a positive, empathetic, and professionalattitude toward customers at all times. Collaborate withinterdisciplinary treatment teams, other departments andadministration to ensure that all residents’ physical,biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met andwhen they are not met, acknowledges and works to resolve customercomplaints. Provide leadership to assure compliance with local,state, and federal regulations, as well as nursing practicestandards. Recognizes that patient safety is a toppriority.

Responsibilities Anticipates and effectively manage changes in census and acuityand allocates nursing resources based on measurement of patientacuity/care needed Role models expectations related to customer service anddemonstrates a sense of urgency related to the importance ofpatient safety Accountable for the standard of care at the facility, providingconsultations and expertise in the delivery of care topatient. Serve as a clinical and service resource to nursing staff andother staff as assigned. Manage the activities of staff, coordinating safe andappropriate care between departments and disciplines. Manage and evaluate work activities of nursing, technical,clerical, service or maintenance staff for the unit, work group andother facility staff as directed. Analyze information/situation to choose the best solution(s) tosolve problems. Responsible for recruitment, hiring and training of newstaff. Identify the educational needs of others and developeducational or training programs. Assist with the development and implementation oforganizational policies and procedures for the facility. Prepare reports to inform management of the status andimplementation of programs, services and quality initiatives of theunit. Perform administrative or managerial functions such as planningbudgets and authorizing expenditures. Provide direct care as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Graduationfrom an accredited school of nursing. Two or more years of nursingexperience and previous experience with patient population of thefacility is preferred. Minimum one or more years’ management,charge or administrative experiencerequired.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS

Current RN license as required by state. CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required(training available upon hire and offered by facility). First aid may be required based on state or facility.
