Job Summary Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing clinical programs and operations that pertain to nursing and clinical support staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Medical Assistants (MAs) and other clinical support staff. You will ensure that clinical staff meet or exceed competencies, align with organizational goals, and comply with all applicable state and federal regulations. This position will collaborate with operational leaders across Mass General Brigham Medical Group to implement care delivery models that enhance patient experience, support improved outcomes, and foster ongoing patient relationships with the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Functions Lead the development and implementation of clinical programs or services, ensuring alignment with the hospital’s mission and strategic objectives. Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff within the program. Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements. Supervise and mentor nursing staff assigned to the program. Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives related to the program, analyzing performance metrics and driving continuous improvement. Collaborate with healthcare professionals from various disciplines, including physicians, social workers, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care within the program. Collect and analyze relevant data related to program outcomes and performance. Prepare regular reports for leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree Nursing required and Master’s Degree Nursing preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Registered Nurse [RN – State License] required Experience Clinical experience with a background in program management 5-7 years required and Leadership and management experience 3-5 years required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and managerial skills with a focus on achieving positive patient outcomes. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and evidence-based clinical practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Commitment to continuous quality improvement and patient safety. Familiarity with budget management and financial principles in healthcare.
