The Charge LPN is responsible for the clinical oversight of the care/service in the Health Center on his/her shift, including accurate and timely administration of medication, treatments, documentation and emergency calls as indicated. Schedule:

Monday – Friday 2p-10p

Responsibilities:

Provides compassionate care to residents in the Skilled Nursing (Nursing Home) neighborhood Responds to emergency calls and provides care as needed Communicates changes to resident health or vitals with DON and/or Physician Serves as a positive role model for C.N.A. and other clinical staff members Completes required documentation and ensures compliance with CMS, CDC and Piper Shores standards of care.

Qualifications:

Current LPN license in Maine CPR certification or ability to become certified Experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care facility preferred. Familiarity with dementia behaviors and ability to effectively communicate with individuals experiencing dementia. Warm and friendly demeanor with a positive approach to interacting with Seniors and co-workers Ability to stand and move for extended period of time, ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently required.
