For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to$10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligibleRegistered Nurses with1-2years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2years of experience!
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Spring Harbor Hospitalis a 100-bed free-standing nonprofit psychiatric hospital located in Westbrook, ME. It is one of two freestanding psychiatric hospitals in the state of Maineand offers services for both children and adults.
The Adolescent unit at Spring Harbor hospital, specializes in the care of children, generally in the 12 to 17-year-old range, in a 14 bed facility.

Our multidisciplinary patient care team specializes in the treatment of diagnoses most commonly found in children and adolescents.

These include:

Depression
Disruptive Behavior Disorders
Emerging Psychotic Disorders
Anxiety Disorders
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Substance Use disorders

Summary:

The Registered Nurse – Charge – Behavioral Health role assumes frontline leadership in the daily operations of the department and works collaboratively with departmental staff, physicians/advanced practice practitioners, hospital staff, pre-hospital providers and community agencies to provide oversight and direction for the delivery of safe patient and family centered care.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.

License/Certifications:

Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must complete within 30 days of start date. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Certification RN-BC preferred.

Experience:

Two years of relevant experience preferred, experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
