Hartford Hospital was selected as one of the Top 50 hospitals forCardiac Surgery Award – 2021, 2022, as well as 100 Best Hospitalsfor Cardiac Care and Coronary Intervention Awards for 2021, 2022Center 10 is a 26 bed inpatient Telemetry Unit which is part of theHartford HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute at HartfordHospital. Nurses on Center 10 care primarily for patients diagnosedwith Arrhythmia disorders and Congestive Heart Failure. Otherpatients cared for on Center 10 include patients who are pre-operative open Heart Surgery; and other Cardiac patients requiringmonitoring. The pace is professionally challenging and stimulatingand a wonderful learning environment. The assistant nurse managersupervises a work group to ensure that a high quality,cost-effective product or service is delivered in support of thehospital’s strategic plan, and the function’s goals and objectives.

They model the effective, efficient operation of the unit byscheduling and assigning work, resolving processing problems,collecting data to monitor progress, and carrying an assignedworkload or filling in as necessary. While continually strives toimprove quality and productivity by identifying improvementopportunities, and recommending and implementing changes. They willimplements and monitors departmental goals and objectives for thework group that align with the strategic direction of theorganization, by analyzing needs and developing recommendations.

The assistant nurse manager will implements individual performanceexpectations; coaches, develops, and provides input to performanceevaluations to enable employees to be successful in contributing tothe achievement of individual and work group objectives.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• Graduate of anaccredited nursing school (BSN required).
• BLS certification bythe American Heart Association and proof of ArrhythmiaCertification required prior to date of hire.

Prior leadershipexperience and/or unit committee work highly preferred. Specialtycertification highly preferred. Strong communications skillsrequired – both written and verbal. We take great care of careers.
