What You’ll Do:

As an MDSDirector, you will manage the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessmentsnecessary for developing personalized resident care plans and thecapture of clinical reimbursement for services provided. You willensure the highest level of revenue integrity and compliance to allstate and federal regulations for MDS completion and codingconventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the MDSprogram, ensuring compliance and accuracy in assessments DeterminePatient Driven Payment Method (PDPM) and expense associated with apotential admissions Monitor Case Mix Index (CMI) scores, lookingfor potential risks and/or changes that may affect reimbursementMay train, mentor and/or manage MDS Coordinators, providingguidance and support Coordinate and participate in comprehensiveresident assessments and care planning Collaborate withinterdisciplinary teams to ensure accurate data collection forassessments Provide insights and ongoing education to facilitystaff and leaders Track, trend and analyze assessment data toconfirm compliance and identify strategic opportunities to optimizereimbursement Drive a culture of continuous improvement andinnovation in nursing care If you are passionate about ensuringexceptional resident care through accurate, detailed assessmentsand documentation, consider this exceptional opportunity. What You’llBring:

Qualifications of the MDS Director include: Valid state RNlicense preferred Advanced degree or certification preferred Directcare in a long-term care setting and/or MDS Coordinator experiencerequired Proficient in state and federal regulations governing theMDS and billing process Knowledge and understanding of ElectronicMedical Record (EMR), PDP, MDS 3.0, Medicaid and Medicarerequirements Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and thechronically ill with the ability to work with both Deadline driven,exceptionally detail-oriented individual with strong organizationalskills, analytical capabilities and the ability to make decisionsindependently Excellent written and verbal communication andinterpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively and influenceothers in a multidisciplinary team environment -: We Hire forHeart!
