POSITION SUMMARY
: The Unit Manager is a nurse leader who performs the primary functions of assessing, planning, implementing, directing, and evaluating patient care on a 24-hour basis for his/her designated unit(s). He/She manages all personnel, supplies and equipment necessary to facilitate quality patient care. Minimum Required:
BSN required. Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. BLS certification required; recertification required bi-annually. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a RN in a clinical setting. Knowledge of, and ability to, develop strategies to apply current theoretical approaches to the delivery of patient care. Knowledge of current leadership, management and quality improvement concepts. Ability to perform and or lead program development and implementation. Strong quality service skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to deal with the public
