out of 5 stars 325 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204 Urology Specialists of the Carolinas is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Cancer Clinic Nurse (RN) to join our growing Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic (APCC) team in Charlotte, NC. This is a unique opportunity to support patients with advanced prostate cancer through innovative treatments and personalized care. The APCC combines cutting-edge imaging and lab testing with advanced therapies, including oral cancer medications, immunotherapy, and radiopharmaceuticals. Our approach also emphasizes bone health, nutrition, and fitness to support patients throughout treatment. As the Lead Cancer Clinic Nurse, you will oversee and support the daily clinical operations of the APCC, working closely with providers and patients to ensure continuity of care and the highest standard of clinical excellence. This position is central to coordinating treatment protocols, providing patient education, managing oncology medications, and maintaining a compassionate and supportive environment for patients facing a challenging diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary nursing support for the APCC, coordinating patient care and clinic flow Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication regimens, and symptom management Administer and monitor oral cancer therapies, radiopharmaceuticals, and other prescribed treatments Collaborate with physicians on patient assessments, lab follow-up, and imaging results (e.g., PET Pylarify scans) Triage patient concerns and symptoms, and ensure timely communication with providers Mentor clinical staff and ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols

Qualifications:

Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina (or compact license) required Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology, urology, or specialty care EMR proficiency and comfort with treatment documentation and lab review Oncology nursing experience or OCN certification is a plus, but not required
