Your Role as
LPN Nursing Supervisor:
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for directing care for patients, facilitating work flows, serving as a resource for staff, and providing team leadership in an outpatient opioid treatment program (OTP) environment. Role Responsibilities:
Ensures that the Medication Room of the clinic is in full compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic policies and procedures. Supervises daily nursing operations for staff. Makes staff assignments, creates schedules, and updates schedules for providers and support staff when changes are made; Supervises and evaluates work activities of nursing, technical, clerical, service or maintenance staff for the work group and other clinic staff. Ensures that medical records for patients are in compliance with clinic policies, federal and state laws/regulations at all times. Review medical records to ensure medical compliance. Oversee quality assurance activities and compliance to operational standards. Participate in program development or implementation of operating policy and procedures. Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Assists with the recruitment, hiring and training of new staff.
Qualifications:
Your Education, Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 2+ years related nursing practice required. Minimum 1 year of nursing supervisory responsibility required. Previous nursing experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health environments, including outpatient, residential, or correctional healthcare settings. Understanding of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocols and administration, including medications such as methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone. Experience supervising or coordinating nursing care in a recovery-focused setting, including oversight of medication administration, patient monitoring, and withdrawal management. Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices related to substance use treatment, including Motivational Interviewing (MI), trauma-informed care, and relapse prevention strategies. Proficient in clinical documentation, including nursing assessments, medication records, and compliance with treatment plans per state and federal standards. Familiarity with healthcare regulatory compliance, including 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and Joint Commission requirements. Skilled in leading and collaborating within a multidisciplinary care team, including physicians, counselors, case managers, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care. There must be no history of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of three years before employment
Licenses/Certifications:
