Detention Center RN Supervisor Position Available In Robeson, North Carolina

Salary:

$45 / Hour Amergis Staffing is currently seeking experienced and qualified Registered Nurses (RN) for a correctional facility in the Lumberton, NC area. The details for these positions are as follows:

Position Description:

Work involves performing medical screening at booking, administering medications, interpreting Doctor’s orders, assists with drawing blood, checking glucose levels and blood pressures of inmates. Employee also assists Doctor on daily physicals and health assessments of individuals being booked in the detention center, and assists handling all emergency situations that arise and notifying proper officials and hospitals. Assist with medical logs, pregnancy, segregation, discharges, transfers, and transfer summaries. Work also involves performing treatments as needed, cleansing and dressing wounds, and performing assigned medical rounds. Supervise sick call / physicals. Coordinate medical needs for patients and schedule appointments. Analyze chronic care for inmates and adjust their care as needed. Communicate with other facilities for medical safe keeping as well as communicating with Jail Health Administrator concerning policy irregularities. Training medical staff, attends staff meeting, and workshops. Organize labs results, x-rays, and other necessary tests. Assist with continuous medical quality improvement. Maintains organized medical records. Employee is subject to the usual hazards of nursing work, including potential exposure to communicable diseases and blood-borne pathogens. Employee is able to exercise considerable tact, courtesy, discretion, firmness and fairness in contact with inmates. Works in hostile environment with detainees and inmates. Reports to director of nursing. Reports to Jail Director of Nursing.

Position Details:

+ Full Time (36hrs or 40hrs weekly) + 1st Shift (7a-3:30p) + 2nd Shift (8hr,10hr,12hr) + 3rd Shift (8hr,10hr,12hr)

Minimum Requirements:
