POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the overalloperational flow of the inpatient unit including coordination,collaboration and direction of the entire unit during the shiftcovered to ensure effective delivery of healthcare service andKPI`s (Key Performance Indicators) or unit specific measures.

Functions as staff resource in facilitating critical thinking andclinical decision making.

EDUCATION

Bachelor`s degree in Nursingrequired. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legalpermission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing. CPRcertifications.

EXPERIENCE

Progressive supervisory experience,i.e., relief charge nurse, etc. Medical terminology and computerand keyboard skills required.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Current and valid NewJersey Registered Nursing license. Ability to manage a changingwork environment as a result of changing patient needs, includingworking with patients with acute, chronic, and complex diseaseprocesses, and those who are dying. Proven interaction andcommunication (oral, writing, presenting) skills to effectivelycommunicate (oral and written) with patients, family members,physicians, visitors, and co-workers during day-to-day, stressful,and emotionally charged situations. Demonstrated competence,clinical expertise, and sound professional judgment. Demonstratedability to work independently and cooperatively with health careteam members (i.e. , physicians, Rehab, Respiratory, DI, Lab, etc.)and diverse patient populations. Ability to use effective timemanagement to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities,and respond quickly to emergency situations. Demonstrated abilityto use effective analytical and critical thinking skills toproblem-solve, make clinical decisions, and respond quickly to meetpatient care and departmental needs. Attentive to details and theability to perform work accurately, often changing from one task toanother without loss of efficiency or composure. Pay Range:
