Job Description Position Summary To be responsible for theoverall coordination, collaboration, and direction of the entirepatient care team during the shift covered to ensure safe,effective and efficient delivery of healthcare services.
Schedule:
6:30 pm
- 7:00 am.
Schedule will include every other weekend androtating holidays. Education Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission towork from the State of New Jersey.) BLS and ACLS through theAmerican Heart Association. Experience Two to three yearssupervisory experience. Medical terminology and computer andkeyboard skills required. Emergency Department experience. SkillsCurrent and valid New Jersey Registered Nursing License.
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. IV Certification.
Ability to manage a changing work environment as a result ofchanging patient needs, including working with patients with acute,chronic, and complex disease processes, and those who are dying.
Proven interaction and communication (oral, writing, presenting)skills to effectively communicate (oral and written) with patients,family members, physicians, visitors, and co-workers duringday-to-day, stressful, and emotionally charged situations.
Demonstrated competence, clinical expertise, and sound professionaljudgement. Demonstrated ability to work independently andcooperatively with health care team members (i.e. , physicians,Rehab, Respiratory, DI, Lab, etc.) and diverse patient populations.
Ability to use effective time management to set priorities, performjob related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergencysituations. Demonstrated ability to use effective analytical andcritical thinking skills to problem-solve, make clinical decisions,and respond quickly to meet patient care and departmental needs.
